Training Your AI with Teach Jenius

The Teach Jenius module is the core knowledge configuration system of the Jenius platform. This is where Organization Admins train the system by adding company-specific content, guidelines, and resources. This training ensures the AI can respond intelligently and contextually, reflecting how your organization actually sells.

Please note: Teach Jenius is not a traditional content repository or a replacement for a Learning Management System (LMS). It is not a file dump, and standard users cannot upload files here.

How-To Guides

How to Access Teach Jenius

To configure your organization's knowledge base, navigate to the module through the main panel:

  1. Locate the collapsible primary navigation ribbon on the left side of your screen.
  2. Click on Teach Jenius.
  3. You will see your Topics list, which displays icons indicating content types, associated skills, and tags.

How to Create a New Topic

Organizations train the AI by creating Topics, which act as broad containers of knowledge:

  1. From the Teach Jenius page, click the Add Topic button.
  2. Enter a clear and descriptive Topic Name (such as a specific product, industry, competitor, or sales process).
  3. Provide the training content using at least one of these methods (you can use both):
    • Topic Details: Type explicit, text-based instructions or descriptions to guide the AI.
    • Teaching Document: Upload a specific training or product document.
  4. Add Skills and Tags to classify the topic. This step connects the content to specific roles and reporting modules.
  5. Upload Resources if you want to attach user-facing materials (such as reference PDFs or links) that the AI can share with users.
  6. Click Save Topic.

How to Edit or Delete a Topic

You can update your training library at any time to keep the AI current:

  1. In the Teach Jenius module, locate the topic you want to manage.
  2. Click the vertical ellipsis (three dots) next to the topic name.
  3. Select Edit to modify the training documents, details, and tags, or select Remove to delete the topic from the system

Key Concepts and Core Vocabulary

To structure your training content effectively, keep these platform distinctions in mind:

  • Topics: Broad organizational units of knowledge used to group related information.
  • Teaching Documents: Backend content used to inform AI responses. These are strictly used for training and are never visible to or downloadable by standard users.
  • Resources: Static materials (such as files, links, or media embeds) that are served directly to users inside chat responses when relevant.
  • Skills and Tags: Metadata used to classify topics. This metadata dictates how the AI routes information to the correct roles, activities, and reporting modules.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I restrict certain topics to specific users?

No. All topics created in Teach Jenius are organization-wide. Content uploaded here is shared across the entire system and cannot be restricted to specific user groups.

Do I need to provide both Topic Details and a Teaching Document?

No. You are only required to provide at least one of these to save a topic. You can type instructions directly into the Topic Details, upload a Teaching Document, or do both.

Can I add new tags while I am creating a topic?

Yes. If you need a new tag that does not exist in your database, you can create and add it on the fly directly from the skills and tags dropdown selection menu.

How does Teach Jenius impact the user experience?

When users interact with Jenius (such as in Chat, Tools, or Activities), the platform prioritizes your Teach Jenius content over generic, public knowledge. The AI selectively references the most relevant sections of your teaching documents based on the user's role, skills, and current context.

Admin Recommendations for Best Results

  • Start Small: Focus on a single workflow or a single sales team first. Validate that the AI is responding correctly before expanding content integration across the entire organization.
  • Input Quality: The quality of your AI coaching output is directly dependent on the quality of your input. Avoid uploading large, unstructured, or outdated files without clear guidance in your Topic Details.
